★★★★★

"I can't recommend Sam Wilkes Concrete Pumping highly enough. Everything was done efficiently, to a really high standard, with great attention to detail."

Guy Bicker-CaartenGoogle Review
★★★★★

"Super punctual. Very professional. Reliable and very helpful. It's hard enough to get a pump driver to pump concrete, let alone get the wellies and rake off the lorry to give you a push."

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How far do you travel for jobs?

We're based in Woofferton, Shropshire (SY8) and cover Shropshire, Herefordshire and the wider Marches as standard. We also travel further afield for the right job — a small travel charge applies beyond roughly 50 miles of base, which we'll always confirm upfront in your quote.

Do you supply the concrete or screed as well as pumping it?

Yes — we offer a full service. For liquid screed we supply, pump and lay it ourselves. For concrete, we're happy to either pump material you've already ordered or help coordinate supply through our network of local concrete suppliers.

How much notice do you need to book a pump?

It depends on the time of year and how busy the diary is, but we'd always recommend booking as early as you can once you have a pour date — especially for boom pumps in peak season. Get in touch and we'll always tell you straight whether we can fit you in.

What's the difference between boom pumping and line pumping?

A boom pump uses a hydraulic arm (20m, 32m or 37m) to place concrete directly and precisely without anyone handling a hose — ideal for open access sites. A line pump uses flexible hose run by hand, which is slower but can reach into tight, awkward or enclosed spaces a boom can't get near, including basements and rear gardens.

Are you insured and what size jobs do you cover?

Yes, we're fully insured. We work across residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural sites — everything from a single domestic driveway or extension base to large commercial slabs and farm building floors.

Can you pump liquid screed for underfloor heating?

Yes, this is one of our specialisms. We regularly pump and lay liquid screed over underfloor heating pipework, giving a fast-curing, dead-level floor finish ready for the next trade.
